Eric Bitoy Jr
Chicago was the Eldorado for jazzmen, bluesmen and soulmen fleeing massively the southern states, from the 20s to the 70s. It is from Chicago that settled in the world house in the early 80s. This world metropolis cultivates paradoxes. A few blocks from the most daring Skyline of the US, endowed with architectural masterpieces, stand neglected neighborhoods, plagued by delusional crime. It is in this setting that Eric Bitboy Jr and a handful of pioneers develop a new art, both musical genre and urban dance, born from the most dirty house in the ghetto. Footwork combines physical performance, often in the form of battles between young dancers and sound experiments. The freedom of this new genre and the dexterity shown by those who practice it in Obama city are frightening the planet of urban cultures and street art.
Originally from Oak Park, in the suburbs of Chicago, Eric Bitoy Jr is both a dancer and composer / music producer in the “Chicago footwork” genre. Initiated to this practice at the college ten years ago, he has not ceased to practice and improve especially in contact with the masters of the genre: Boodilla and King Charles (Madonna, Will.I.am) of the Creation crew of which he is a part. For 6 years, Eric Bitoy Jr. has been a music producer known for his deep, dark and atmospheric compositions and instruments.
